I still don't like people who just burn there levels...when it comes to events and people go on those jobs and when you do a water 4 for 84 damage...no word can describe how i feel...ugh...

I love abyssea, and I level there because it is fast. I can actually cap my stuff, and go on to do the other things in the game without having to worry about what my level is...85WHM/42SCH I can do almost anything. I've never been capped on any of my WHM skills, but i've never been so undercapped I couldn't get a Repose to work, or paralyze to land.Kiorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01357712668593019304noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7099984801346158375.post-66807059490269871512010-09-28T05:15:07.645-04:002010-09-28T05:15:07.645-04:00I don't resent level sync or Abyssea either. A...I don't resent level sync or Abyssea either. As I said, I don't even think that they have destroyed XI. If that were the case, then this game would've died out already.

However, I still find it interesting at how people's opinions regarding fast leveling have changed so rapidly. I realize that things change as time goes on, but that doesn't prevent me from looking back and making comparisons to what will always be referred to as "the good old days."

In regards to XIV, I do own that. It's currently sitting in its shrink-wrapped package on my table and will remain there until my friends have gone there or the mood strikes me to play it. The same was done when I bought XI years before I truly started.

XI has plenty of shiny things that have been added to it, but chasing the shinies has never been a true focus of mine. As Tal has said in his blogs, everyone wants to "Get Shit", but when that becomes your sole focus for signing on, then what appeal does the game *really* have?Jacindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09858879135449402266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7099984801346158375.post-443305140408985972010-09-28T04:06:57.456-04:002010-09-28T04:06:57.456-04:00The game has entered its end phase. In a way I'm enjoying the last hurrah.

I agree there's little skill in getting a job up the old fashioned way but I've seen enough players that have levelled that way who were appalling to know in all honesty in some cases, it doesn't make any difference.

XIV is here. If you want new, shiny, slow and learning - that's where it's at. I haven't jumped to XIV, I'm enjoying the things there are to do in XI right. There's so much, that I'm finding it overwhelming.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
