I never said thank you

I know I just mentioned being addicted in my last post, but this one is a bit more important on a different level.

Obviously, I haven't been on this site in awhile. As such, I haven't seen the various blog posts made by people. While looking through a few, I came across one by a friend of mine who has since departed Vana'diel. My knight in shining armor, Alerith. He and I have been friends since shortly after I began. He tells his story of our meeting on his own blog site, so I won't repeat it here (though he tells a very short version of it). Anyway, I looked at his very first post, and I'll be damned if it wasn't a touching one.

I have to admit, reading that post brought out an "awww" and I even felt the eyes watering a tad. If anything, it's moments like these that make you realize just how much the friends we make here mean to us, and how much we truly miss them when they are gone.

You're absolutely not alone. I've tried quitting half a dozen times and it's the nostalgia and the memories that keep me bound to it. Although it certainly doesn't help that they announced "Seekers" as a full size expansion. Damn you SE... Damn you to hell! Anyway, I just wanted to pop on and say that I like your blog. You've been added to my reading list :3. If you want, feel free to check out mine as well. www.yygdrasilffxi.blogspot.com

I still have FFXI installed, but haven't played since January. I haven't really been playing many games lately. I just can't get into many. I did play, as a person who's not a Zelda fan, all but Ocarina of time of the 3D Zelda games, but I just don't feel motivated to get into anything. FFXI included.

I loved my time in FFXI. I met you, Epic, Brim, Ameyna, Kefka, Jamarn, a whole bunch of people I did most of the Abyssea stuff with, Doggy (the Taru from Hades, not the Hume Cerberus fake one), and a bunch of other people like Yeti and Lazzarra, Scyraes and his girlfriend, whose name escapes me, Aramyth, and Enelya and a bunch more people. (We did that 2-5 Black Dragon/Ahriman fight together at Balga's Dais.)

I think my time with FFXI has come to an end, but I'll never forget the many people who made it the experience it was.
